Climates Summary

Monsoon Forest:
Its also called tropical deciduous forest or dry forest. The Mansoon Forest its compose by two seasons, the dry and the wet one. During the dry seasons, the trees lose their leaves. The dry season is followed by a season of long heavy rain falls, the wet one. Being located near the equator, the Monsoon Forests experiences warm temperatures throughout the year.

Hot Desert:
We can find Hoy Deserts in North Africa, Southwestern U.S, Mexico and Australia, one famous one is The Sahara Desert located in Egypt. The seasons are generally warm all along the year and very hot in summer. Rainfalls are very low and/or concentrated. Winters usually brings little rainfall. Annual temperatures range from 20ºc to 25ºc. There is a lot of thermal aplitud, during the day they can do 25°c and during the night -25°.The dominant animals of the hot desert are burrowers and kangaroo rats. There are also insects, arachnids, reptiles and birds. Plants are mainly ground-hugging shrubs and short woody trees.

Tropical continental:
Regions close to the equator have an equatorial climate. These regions include,South America, tsouthern Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia and some areas in northern Australia.  There are high temperatures through the year.In the equatorial Climate there are wet and dry seasons. Areas closer the equator tend to have longer wer seasons and experience over 1000mm of rainfall per year, the areas farther the equator tent to have shorter wet seasons and experiences 300mm per year. During the dry season, there is little or no rainfall.

Tundra:
Is the coldest of all the biomes. Tundra is separated into two types: arctic tundra and alpine tundra. Arctic tundra is located in the northern hemisphere, encircling the north pole and extending south to the coniferous forests of the taiga. The average winter temperature is -34° C, but the average summer temperature is 3-12° C. There are plants that can resist such a cold climate. The same is with animals. They are adapted to handle long, cold winters and to breed and raise young quickly in the summer. The Alpine tundra is located on mountains throughout the world at high altitude where trees cannot grow. Unlike the arctic tundra, the soil in the alpine is well drained. The plants and animals are very similar to those of the arctic ones.

Cold Climates:
Also called “eternal ice”.In the High Arctic, the sun sets in October and doesn't rise again until late February.  The average temperatures are -47ºC to 0ºC. This type of climate is found in Antarctica, Greenland, Scandinavia, Siberia, Canada, Alaska and South America. The plants growing are: Bearberry, Dandelion and Iceland moss. And they have features that make them allow to adapt to the temperatures, also happens with animals.

Savanna:
it can be found in Africa, Asia and northern South America. It has a wet
season and a dry season.. The savanna climate has a temperature range of 20°-30°C. In the winter, it is usually about 20°-25°C. In the summer the temperature ranges from25°-30°C. There is an annual precipitation of 100 to 150 cm of rain.In the summer there is lots of rain. Rains begin in May. An average of 15 to 25 inches of rain falls during this time. It gets hot and very humid during the rainy season From December to February hardly any rain falls at all.
